Great to have a reasonably priced airport fairly close to home, but you guys really need to step up your game at the baggage claim.
Thank you to all the amazing staff (TSA, baggage & ground staff and American Airlines employees) that helped me make my flight to Charlotte tonight. You went above and beyond and your kindness was really appreciated. I sent some pizzas to say thanks and hope they made it to you guys. Thanks again to the best airport ever!
When you purposefully choose to not check your bag so you do not have to wait for it after an inbound flight arriving 12:35am, and the ground crew decides it has to go to baggage claim due to rain - that stopped as soon as we are on the ground. Thanks, no thanks! I was headed home anyway! Waiting in the rain would have been fine to get me out he door 15-20min sooner.
Small airport which makes it simple to get in/out. My first time here I didn't realize how small it is. Showed up 2 hrs early for a 9am flight. I was the only person going through check-in and security. The only restaurant has good breakfast sandwiches.
6 gates, but has PreCheck. 20 minutes from downtown. Airport bar maintains good local beer selection. Outside observation deck. Friendly TSA crew. Not many food options.
