I just got my vehicle detailed on Friday afternoon by Vinny. When I dropped off my car as well as came and picked it up, he was very well respectful and very professional about his business. I got to the auto parts store and looked at the car closer. They only buffed 1 headlight, didn't treat any of the vinyl, didn't even touch the scratches, barely wiped the dashboard, did a shoddy job vacuuming. The list goes on.
If you are looking for courteous, professional service with attention to detail at a great price, this is the guy for you. Bought a 10 year old car for my son. previous owner had kids and dogs so I wanted to get it detailed. Looked at two car washes in town, one had mediocre reviews, the other got bought by some out-of-town group and I couldn't get them to answer their phone. Both are pretty expensive. Found Downtown Detail on-line, texted them and had an response within minutes. The guys got 87 google reviews with a 4.9/5 star average, I think he deserves them all. Great price, great job, couldn't be happier...
I consider myself low maintenance so the thought of spending money to clean my car, yea i struggled with. So I went to a "guy" someone referred to me who was cheap. My whole frame work of cost vs service was shifted when I met Vinny. Not only did he provide great service at a fair price, (not cheap but actually fair) His keen commentary and conversation about cars and property as it relates to life in general, and his joy-filled smile and giggles, made me fall in love with my 2 ton life companion. Of course it helped that Downtown detail had made my interior "wait - what? is this the same car" clean..Thanks Vinny you are the best
To recap... I paid for the midgrade package which is supposed to get out scratches and I added a buffing of headlights.
Where to start? Nice guy, cheap detailing. You will get what you pay for.
He said multiple times, "If there's anything wrong bring it back and I'll fix it for free." At this point I can only ascertain that he knew he does shoddy work but leaves it up to the customer to decide if it's worth their time to have it fixed.
I had decided to go for the little guy who works out of a van and give him some business because of the good reviews. Now I think I know why he still operates out of a van. I'm sorry Vinnie, but I won't be coming back and I'm completely disappointed in the work. You're nice to chat with but I came to you to get my car detailed.
I spent an hour going over the car when I got home getting the wax buffed and touching up.....everything. I had to go over outside areas still covered in dirt along the windows that were brown with dirt.
As I was reviewing the work I had to point out they missed an entire door jam. He had one of his men do it real quick. A few other stuff they spruced real quick before I left because I showed them it wasn't done. I saw areas where they didn't buff out all the last coating and thought I would just touch it up myself.
Vinny had my car back to shining and immaculately clean within hours. Literally two hours. Fast, friendly, and inexpensive. I just wanted clean, but there were scrapes and scratches along the side of my car that he removed, now I can never tell they existed. Above and beyond, excellent job. I'll definitely be a returning customer!
He immediately had me bring the car back and fixed most of the stuff at my specific request. I had to bring it back though. And he didn't even fix the other big scratch (I caught one before leaving the first time he fixed at my specific request) that I specifically showed him.
