Pearl's is my go-to place for gluten-free deliciousness!!!! Amazing sweet and savory scones, biscuits with ham and cheese, brownies that are unbelievably moist and chocolatey, and the cupcakes!!! Self-serve coffee and a cozy shop, Pearl's is a delightful culinary destination where both my husband (not GF but nut-allergic) and I (GF) can go and never feel like we are "missing out" because of our dietary restrictions! And the staff is so nice and always seems so happy to see folks enjoying their creations! Five enthusiastic stars for Pearl's!!!
One was chocolate with candied bacon on top. The other was yellow with tart lemon filled and key lime frosting. Unbelievably delicious!!! Thank you from your Celiac fan!!!
Wedding cake disaster!!! Called me 4 hours before the arranged pick-up time wanting to change half of my wedding cake. Wait, let me rephrase that, informed me they were going to change my wedding cake because they didn't really give me any other options. They never made the sugar gum paste flowers that had been ordered and didn't like the icing we had chosen for our cake. They blamed a girl who no longer worked there, but took absolutely NO responsibility for the fact that they were changing our wedding cake hours before it was to be completed. We ordered the cake 2-3 months in advance, this was not a last minute order. To make it worse, when we arrived the cake was not packaged in a manner acceptable for travel (we were driving to a remote location for a private ceremony). We had made it clear when we ordered the cake that we would be transporting it to a remote location. No apology was made when we picked up the cake and instead seemed offended when we were not giddy about appearance of the cake that no longer resembled the one we had originally ordered. The only upside was once you scraped off all the icing and removed the poisonous flowers they used, the actual cake (one of the few things that was what we had ordered) tasted pretty good.
Blueberry scone was ok, needed some more blueberries rather than butter. I think it also could've been sweeter.
Great source for wedding cupcakes! We ordered 5 dozen Strawberry Fields and 5 dozen Chocolate Raspberry. Both were delicious, the ordering process was simple, and the cupcakes looked beautiful! The price was very fair for what we received. All around positive experience.
