Why complain about how long your Medical Appts last or your loved ones ? Be Greatful there's help out there for Our Disabled family members. It's A Clinic. Not a Regular Drs Office. We sit when we go to our regular Dr appts here in Danville Va.
.My 81 yr old mother who is in a wheelchair & paralyzed on her right side had a 10:30 appt & didn't leave until after 2:00pm. It is ridiculous how long it takes to complete an appt in this clinic. I wonder if this treatment is because these people are poor & on Medicaid.
It counts on how busy they are. Patiences people patiences! My daughter loves her surgeon , Dr.Asthigirri. He is Awesome ! Remember be patience.
Parents, I cannot more strongly urge you to avoid this clinic at all cost. This clinic has a policy that all new patients MUST be seen in their resident clinic before being seen by an actual attending physician. This policy is in effect even if your child has received a diagnosis and referral from an attending physician WITHIN UVa's own medical center. Additionally, it is also their policy that they will schedule pediatric appointments even when there is no pediatric attending present in the building at all. What this means for you, is that your child will have to attend TWO appointments. You will pay for having seen an attending physician at both of these appointments (even though you did not). You will wait an EXCESSIVELY long time after your scheduled appointment time to even be seen. Finally, you will undergo the traumatic experience of having to hold your screaming baby down as a stranger who is not at all comfortable or trained in working with infants examines and possibly dilates their eyes only to learn that there is still something wrong with your child's eyes and the doctor who you have trusted can't tell you a thing about what is wrong and that you will have to wait only to repeat this experience again. This is a deliberate policy that spits in the face of "do no harm" that this clinic not only uses but DEFENDS vehemently. Please, please seek care elsewhere.
I love Dr.cater he is the best! He has help my daughter who born with a eye condition to able to see straight after two surgery , he didn't wait at all to say she need the 1st surgery we been going to see him seen 2008 it will be 9 yrs next month
