Awesome community laundromat run by wonderful people. Exceptional service. The staff is friendly and helpful. There's a separate room with seating and tables to sit and read/study while waiting. I go only a few times a year to use the large capacity machines to wash and dry large blankets. They work great. I was surprised to see a 1-star review but after reading it, it became clear that the real issue was the small-minded simpleton who wrote it. Xenophobia has no place in Charlottesville. Another great thing about Sunshine Laundry is that guy probably never returned so he won't be there if you go.
Just got done washing my comforter and other large blankets. Place is clean and has many machines with normal size and oversized washing machines and dryers. Mine was $4.00 to wash and $1.50 to dry. It is a coin laundromat and they do not have a coin machine onsite but the lady was very happy to change out bills for coins via the cash register. I have no complaints! There was even a waiting area with several tables and about 3 chairs to each table.
