For a park called "Justice" Park, I didn't see any! Not sure if we'll return. We might try a rival park to look for some emancipation, as we're still craving liberation.
On Sat the ambience was lovely when we arrived, due in part to the loud and loving locals, but the service from the police presence was appalling and brutal. 5 Stars to the courageous medics who saved the day.
This park would be a lot better if it didn't have a large contingent of drug dealers and bums-which is as bad as the hippies that hung here during the 1960s during the Charlottesville riot era. Also, it is filthy and despite being near the courthouse not a place to be late at night. It would be safest for you to avoid this area after dark.
Peaceful place to come and relax. Saw a flyer for a cookout in September. Seems to be a nice place.
Nice little local spot. Visited the park on Saturday with my family, looking to enjoy a peaceful block party that was going on and to satisfy a craving for justice. Park is small and could be pretty with leafy trees, but has an eyesore of a statue.
Not only have they covered up our southern monuments - with all the mesh orange fencing and giant black tarps, making the park resemble a dump or junkyard - They’ve changed the name from Jackson to “Justice”...? You social justice lunatics, ruining our state.
What a disgrace to see beautiful statues covered up with tarps and an orange work fence around it Charlottesville should be ashamed of themselves. such ignorant people who run what was a beautiful city
