I received horrible highlights. I asked to be "brighter" for my upcoming wedding and instead I left with white hair and very noticeable dark roots. This appointment wasted 3 hours of my time and I paid over $200. I have never complained about a hair service before (I have never even posted a bad review on Yelp for any type of service) but I needed my hair fixed before my wedding so I made an appointment a couple days later. When I went back my stylist was obviously agitated and angry. She said she did not have time to fix my hair so she put a lowlight glaze on it and said "it will last for a couple of weeks if you don't wash your hair everyday". She also made me pay for the glaze. Her bad attitude made me feel so uncomfortable, I asked to leave before my hair was completely dry. The owner got involved when I was leaving but honestly it was too little, too late.
Absolutely love Moxie!! Friendly people and amazing service. Honestly never had a bad experience here, so five stars for sure!!
She has been going to Moxie for a few years and Richard was her stylist. He has since left, which is a shame. My wife and daughter will not be going to Moxie anymore.
My wife went in for a full coloring on Jan 20 with Ashley. The top was too dark. She made an appointment to correct it today, but the stylist was dismissive, then said she would have to reschedule if she wanted her to do anything.
Unique atmosphere, reasonably priced. Rachel is talented and kind and gives a great shampoo.
I had microblading done here but wasn't too happy with the results. There was a lot of back and forth but everyone was great about me being very picky and probably difficult. I use to shave and pencil my eyebrows in. I told her this and even drew them on, but told her to correct any unevenness. They are a little sloppy and some people have noticed the variations in the brows. Again the women who did them and the owner were very patient with me and sat down with me to talk about my concerns. The owner told me that maybe this wasn't the best choice for the look I was going for. I had looked into microblading and know what it is and how it is applied. Currently my brows taper differently and one arch is higher than the other, which a couple of people of have pointed out. I will be going to a tattoo who specializes in these techniques who has a great reputation and large portfolio. I should have went there to begin with but Moxie is a great place and the microblading was 50% off! Either way I do still recommend Moxie and the women who did my brows because I feel like my experience was unique or a fluke and would never speak negatively of anyone there!
