I love working for the YMCA child care center at the Jefferson school. I have also had both children attend and they have grown and thrived there. They have access to so much of the community and love exploring the downtown Charlottesville area.
Excellent facilities with a good schedule of group exercise, expertly lead. Now part of my daily routine .
This center is full of friendly faces, and caring staff members. The way the staff interacts with the children is PRICELESS! The environment is always so welcoming and I would recommend this place to everyone.
I have worked at the YMCA for a month now. It had been such a great experience just learning new things working here, the management is great, the staff are great, I love working at The YMCA I've never had so much happiness working at a job before, but The YMCA bring so much happiness when I walk through the doors every morning, I never leave work un happy, I'm always happy coming in and out, when I wake up in the morning I always have a positive attitude because I know I am coming into such a great environment! ❤️
Limited Sunday hours due to traditional Christian church hours (even though other YMCAs open as early as 7am on Sundays), great pools, crossfit area, track and basketball courts are a hit. Weight lifting equipment, free weights and fitness classes limited compared to Gold's gym or ACAC. For the cost, it's a great option in Cville.
