I went in to check to see if they had an item in the store that I had seen online. When they looked it up on their tablet it turned out it isn't available in store, only online. I should have listened to my instinct at that point and just left and ordered it online. However, I decided to let them go through with the purchase since they had already brought the item up on their tablet. It took a couple tries to get it to go through on the tablet, which was a little annoying; In addition the sales person tried very had to push the extra warranty on me (twice after I said no) -- more annoying. Than the guy says he needs to make an impression of my credit card. I again reluctantly agreed and then he spent about 20 minutes trying to find paper for the machine and figure out how to use the machine to make the impression. While I was waiting I received an e-mail with the shipping confirmation from the purchase. So I asked why he needed to make the impression and the guy said that was just their policy. It doesn't really make any sense to me. I could have gone online and made the purchase in 5 minutes or less without an impression of my card being made, but instead I ended up spending 30 minutes in the store waiting and being pressured for some BS warranty and they now have a hard copy of my cc # (not at all secure, that's why nobody uses those things anymore). Overall, I'm not happy at all with my experience there today. If you see something online, just buy it online, I think you can always pick it up in store for free, and often times you can have it shipped to your door for free too.
I had my engagement ring for six days and had it resized at this location. When I got my ring back, it was flat on the bottom and had a deep black scratch on the bottom. It was not sauntered back together properly. I asked the gentleman why it looked like that, and he said that these "minor things happen." He made light of the situation. I explained this wasn't minor to me, since I had just gotten my ring back from them, which cost thousands of dollars, I had JUST gotten engaged, and it was given back to me less than perfect. He said it needed to be polished again, so I waited for it to be sent back to the lab. He came back the second time, and the ring still had the large crack/indentation on the bottom. The gentleman offered to have the resizing redone. They kept it for another night. The shape of the ring was even worse, and the engraving on the inside was now gone. They gave me a $50 gift card to compensate me for the trouble. Eventually, after speaking with customer care numerous time, they agreed to make me a new ring in my size. It took almost two months to come in. When it came in, it was the wrong size. Jared offered to resize it. Of course I said no... they wanted to charge me $100 to put sizing globes inside. Needless to say, Jarad will not get any more sales from me or my fiancé (or Zales or Kay since they're all the same company, Kay and Zales all send their sizing jobs to Jared). I highly recommend staying away from these three places.
