The net used to CLEAN the pool was just thrown haphazardly on the lawn where people can trip over it. Is there a reason why these pools were dirty??? Don't they CLEAN THE POOLS DAILY?
Good place to chill while at the pool. We like it because it is one of the only pools with an extensive shady seating area in town. The beach volleyball court and ping pong table are nice too and there are nice tables to sit at if you want to eat.
I was surprised to see the condition of the building. How much do members PAY to belong? I'd be disappointed in what my money is paying for.
The snack bar is great, BUT it takes FOREVER to get the food for as many people standing behind the counter.
Cool historic swim club in the heart of Charlottesville. Combination of huge shade trees, lots of grassy areas for kids to play and three pools make this club really unique.
Wish to see these improvements, but at this moment I doubt it.
You'll feel like you've taken a step back in time to good old fashioned family fun! And the only place where you can find shade AND a pool. Love it!
Best pool in VA. Far far better than the local Fairview pool...
Memberships are pricey though.
BUT THE LAP POOLS WERE CRYSTAL CLEAR.
I also noticed the lifeguards are too busy chewing gum and talking to each other, AREN'T THEY SUPPOSED TO BE WATCHING SWIMMERS?
Kids and I were here on Thursday 7/27. The smaller pools had dirt, grass and bark from mulch in the water. Not cool seeing little kids swimming with DIRT.
