Wonderful food, great atmosphere, tasty drinks! Live jazz when we were there. Chicken and waffles during brunch!
The waitress was not very cordial but the hostess was very nice when we arrived. The brisket hash was the special but it came out super greasy. Saw the great reviews but was not impressed mainly because of our waitress but hope you have a better experience if you choose to come here
Went here for brunch and was very happy with the food and atmosphere. The chicken and waffles were amazing. I’m not a big fan of gravy (this dish is smothered with it) but this is the one time I actually loved it with a dish. Highly recommend it. Other brunch options were tasty as well.
Stopped in while visiting the town for a concert. Asked a person walking past to point me to a good place to eat and they mentioned one other restaurant and The Whiskey Jar. Found the Whiskey Jar, headed in and was greeted by a very kind hostess/waitress. The look of the place is unique and has that small town feel with your friendly regulars that wandered in on the cool afternoon. Food was great, service was great, place was great. Recommended!
Incredible food!! They also have fresh lemonade! I ordered the chicken and dumplings with a ham biscuit. I'm used to a thicker soups having lived in Alabama, but the flavors were still there. I ordered a pork sandwich and it was just amazing. The bourbon infused bread pudding took a while to come out but it was delicious, a little too sweet but delicious!
