Visited this restaurant with a large group of people. First impression is the customer service. Everyone is very nice. Our waitress was fantastic. I ordered the catfish dinner. It comes with asparagus and black beans and the catfish is topped with a creamy sauce. The food was decent, not bad but nothing to write home about. We visited because we stayed in the hotel across the street so it's nice if you are visiting. The menu has a wide selection of seafood, steak and sandwiches and some pasta dishes. They also serve brunch on Sundays. Prices are mid range 20 to 30 a person for dinner. 10 to 20 for lunch. Worth a visit if you are in the area and want a good bite to eat.
Great seafood...great food period..this is the only place we have found, so far, that sells Oysters Rockefeller (see picture) and shrimp and grits... and let me tell you, they're both well worth the money. Very nice, clean restaurant. The service is always great. Would highly recommend.I absolutely love eating here!
My husband and I and our two small children went to Rhett's because my husband wanted crab legs and we heard that this was a good place to go. Well, it was 12pm on a Saturday and they were "all out of crab legs." What? This restaurant obviously touts its seafood credentials, so this makes no sense at all. He ordered a shrimp po- boy instead, I a salmon sandwich. My sandwich was fresh and hot, though not unique, but I mostly enjoyed it. My 4 year old ate her popcorn shrimp. Our waitress was kind and attentive, and it wasn't crowded (instead, it was empty). Still, the dim lighting and decor feels very dated, there's no beer on tap, and without crab legs, this wasn't worth our time. We likely won't go back.
The food here is absolutely amazing. The she crab soup is awesome. The seafood entrees are the best I have had in the area, and probably anywhere. The location is obscurely located at the end of a medical complex north on 29. They have great crab, delicious steak, just phenomenal food. Prices are reasonable considering the quality is outstanding. However, sometimes the waitt staff is a little...off. Dan, the balding bartender, needs to get his act together. Seems like he's been working at restaurants a long time, and is still bad at it. I understand some of the 20 something girls who are/were hostesses and are waiting tables forgetting items or not checking in. But sometimes with Dan I feel like he is an empty vessel, like he isn't all there or just absolutely hates me even though I don't know him. Sometimes when I stare at him taking shots behind the bar while my food sits under the heat lamp, I see an uncertain future for all of mankind. Food is amazing, get the crab!
Dinner on 11/21 went very smoothly for my father-in-law's birthday. The service was fantastic. Even with the gentleman tending to the bar, we barely waited for anything. The food was exactly as we expected, quick, hot, and yummy. We had salmon (YUM!), fish tacos (gigantic), boiled shrimp, pasta, and seafood risotto. My husband's only complaint was the risotto, which wasn't the best he'd ever had, but the seafood was on point. We ordered two desserts, flourless chocolate cake and chocolate mousse. My father-in-law's was brought with a lit candle so we could sing Happy Birthday to him, so sweet and simple.
Tues 11/21 was probably my 5th visit. My 4th, years ago, made me decide I probably wouldn't dine here any longer. We were seated outside and forgotten about - we barely saw the waitress and when the food finally arrived, it wasn't that great.
