Dunno what's up with the bad review, but the people here are quite knowledgeable, and aren't there to rip you off. They know their stuff, and they are friendly and helpful if you ever have any trouble with your bike, and you don't want a hefty repair bill.
If you need a bike shop in Charlottesville, this is the place! The entire staff, especially the owner Mark and manager Sheila are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The bike shop appeals to all types of bikers as various types of gear, products and bikes are available. I'm a recreational biker and bike commuter and was so impressed with the range of products available at the store. Also, it's important to me to shop local and support locals. Bike Factory is exactly what one would want from a local bike shop.
I have been to all the bike shops in C'ville and used them all, this one may not be the coolest - but its the best on your $ and the expertise inside the shop - yeah - I am now committed 110%
