I'd advise anyone who is passionate about bicycles to make this place your go-to bike shop, PERIOD. I've dealt with some other good ones, but the folks at BRC go above and beyond in comparison. Huge inventory, folks on staff who love riding as much as anybody, and friendliness across the board. If you have needs related to cycling, look no further!
I went here to buy the first bike I've bought on my own. The worker who helped me directed me to a bike that was exactly what I wanted - in fact, it was the one I was looking at online before I went to the store. I got a high-quality but relatively inexpensive (much less than other bike shops in the area, a bit more than big box stores) cruiser. He also helped me pick out the right bike lights. I was pleased to find out that the shop will do free minor repairs on the bike and give me $25 off the labor if the bike needs more extensive repairs. I will definitely be back!
I was looking for an entry level womens road bicycle ,had ridden in the past and wanted to get back into the sport. Stopped at a shop on Zan rd in Cville ,was discouraged at the way i was treated ,as if they didnt want to be bothered by less than a pro . So i looked up Blue Ridge cycles on Connor rd.From the moment i walked into their store they were so very helpful ,they listened to my plan ,gave suggestions and took down several different bicycles to ensure i could find the one for me!I returned several days later to pic up the bike i had chosen ,and once again they put my start out needs together. The staff (special shout out to Gip and Shaun )covered items basic riders would need for various road scenarios. They also invited the two big German Sheperds of my family into the shop for some romp time! I can reccomend these folks at this shop 110 percent ,i will make the drive from Waynesboro for all of my cycling needs to them ! Thankyou again Blue Ridge cycles!!!!!
A good addition to North Charlottesville, they have a super friendly staff, knowledgeable mechanics, and are eager to help novice and experienced riders. So support your local bike shop if you live in the area!
Blue Ridge Cyclery is great. They are always friendly and very responsive to my needs. I could not have been happier from the service I just received from Daniel and Kip. Northern Albemarle County and Greene are lucky to have this local shop near by.
