I've been going here for 7-8 years and I have to say that I'm blown away from the compassion and care I receive there. I've never met better people or doctors. If you are looking for the best of the best this is the place to go. Alison R. Baumann And Dr. Annika M. Abrahamson y'all are truly amazing and I thank you for that. Your nurse is truly amazing as well and of course Stephanie at the front desk is always a pleasure. Thank you for all your care and comfort.
They listen well and try very hard to help in times of need!
I love all these doctors and nurses and all those who answer the phone so kindly and patiently.
Matthew 5:7
"Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy"
I had an appointment at AFM today at 4:40 PM. I arrived to the office at exactly 4:47 PM. The nurse called me back and when I said hello, she said nothing. From the beginning, it was clear she was not happy and being rude. We walked straight past the scale and into the exam room where she told me to sit down and take my jacket off, which I did. She then took my temperature and blood pressure without saying a word. Then she pulled out my chart and asked me if I was still using the same skin cream. I told her I was not sure which cream she was referring to. She vaguely described it as a cream for eczema which I had it in my purse and I told her it wasn't working. And she told me I would not be seen for that today because I was there just for respiratory tract infection. I asked her could I not just show my thumb to the doctor? And she looked at me and said, "you were VERY late for your appointment today". I told her I was seven minutes late and asked her if that's why she's being so gruff with me and she said "Some of us want to go home". I asked to speak with the office manager who told me in the five-years she had been there, she's never had a complaint about this particular nurse stating repeatedly through a vague apology that she must have been having a bad day. She also told me that technically patients should be arriving 15 minutes before their appointment and that that was written in an email and a text that I should be receiving. I have never received an email from the practice and the text simply states "you have an appointment at 4:40pm on 1/3/17" which I showed her. When I made a reference about leaving the practice, she asked if I wanted the medical release forms without hesitation.
I have had positive interactions and experiences with Dr Sanusi, the nurse practitioners and many of the nurses there. However, this was so far from acceptable and I did not get the feeling that much would be done about it. You be the judge.
New to town and they have been wonderful to my entire family. I see Alison but my husband saw Dr. Abrahamson and after his visit the doctor came out to the waiting room to introduce himself to me. The entire staff seems humble and charismatic.
So they will be happy to work you in for a sick visit, take you right on back and then you'll wait for hours in end. Listening to the staff complain about patents and their sex life.... I'm never coming back to this doctor, and suggest you hear my warning..
