I have been a patient of Dr. Davison for around 2 years after moving to Charlottesville and would not recommend going to see him. I seen him several times over the past year and now I need a simple prescription refill of a cholesterol medicine and can not get it unless I come to the office. I even had my labs done to review within the past year. Each time that I visited the office my medications were reviewed. I started working out of town a little over a month ago and noticed that my prescriptions were going to expire so I called the office trying to get an appointment an was denied appointment. The office person said they will call when it is time for me to come in. I explained my situation and was told sorry basically. Now I am away from home in Charlottesville and they are trying to make me come in for an appointment for the refills. Dr. Davison refused to speak with me on the phone and said that I was not seen for the current condition since 2013? Really. Is this right? Now I am away from home and have to go find somewhere to fill my prescriptions that my primary doctor should be doing. I guess that I am only one patient and do not make that much of a difference to a doctor at a busy office. Go see Dr. Davison at your own risk. He will gladly see you in the office but if you need something as simple as a medication refill then good luck to you unless you want to make that appointment and sit there. I asked for one refill until I could be home in two months. I could understand if this was a hard core medication but a cholesterol medicine and he is my primary doctor. I guess I need to go to an express clinic and find me a new primary doctor when I get home.
Had a cardiology test ordered by this office through UVA Medical Center. Doctor said if there were any problems, she'd let me know. Never heard. Good to go, or so I figured. Eight months later, I needed to have records of the test. They told me first I never had one, and then after I corrected them they did some research, figured out that they 1) never received results and 2) never followed up to receive them. Eight months. On a cardiology test. Then, there was absolutely no urgency to track down the results. Three days later, they were faxed to the office, only after I called the Patient Relations office to complain. No one called me. I had to find out from the Patient Relations office that they were released to the office. No urgency to correct this at all. Nightmare. When I called, I was told they would get back to me -- "maybe" -- three days later. Unbelievable. If I could give zero stars, I would.
You could be a great dependable dr if you get your priorites togeither family should be first and friendship remember are and can be stronger than family at times. Don't forget where you have been and what and with whom you have had wonderful fulling exsperiences with like delivering babies and caring for them you should concider what you have given up you where a great dr
