Jimmy took care of me from beginning to end. Knew my case and gave very personable, good service.
I can only write about my personal experience. My mom loves them, but I do not. One time I took my car in to get the oil changed, and as I was checking out, he cashier told me my brakes were failing. They were not failing before I went there, but sure enough I got into my car and I had no brakes. What did they do to my brakes? I had no choice but have them fix it. Another time I had lug nuts on a wheel coming loose, and took the car in to just have a look. The guy on the phone described all sorts of big car words and jargon about the attachment this and that having an issue, which was all very alarming. When I picked up my car the bill had one entry - hub cab $400. At no point on the phone did he ever say the word "hub cab." If he had I would have just said use thicker lug nuts, or a simple no. Cause I could have ordered a hub cab off ebay for $100. Instead he said every word and phrase except that. He was a balding heavy-set man with glasses, not sure if he works there anymore. But he is a liar. Third issue was in waiting to get a shuttle back to my grandparent's house from the dealership. I walked up to the shuttle and the man with an accent said, "We're not going there, not this time, next one." Very frantically and emphatically he kept saying this. But I hadn't even mentioned where I was going, he just dismissed me off hand. My grandparents house is near the Boar's Head. About a 3 minute drive. The shuttle wasn't full, just 2 women. So I waited 30 minutes for him to come back, for him to drive me 3 minutes away. I asked him why he wouldn't take me the first time, and he pretended not to understand. They're very friendly here though, always nice to my mom. I can only speak from my own experiences. But I don't care how polite someone is if they are ripping me off.
Perhaps the kindest dealership we have dealt with to date!
Volvo Cars is one of the best dealerships I have ever used. Recently I had a problem with my car and they were able to check my car right away and do the repairs needed. Their Service Deprtment is friendly, keeping clients up to date as work is being done. The work was explained to me before it was done with an estimated price. I even received a courtesy car wash. They have two waiting areas. One has a television for clients to watch news or sports. The other area is quiet for those who have work to do or want to read. They also have refreshments ranging from coffee and soft drinks to chips, pretzels and ice cream. I would recommend Volvo Cars of Charlottesville to anyone.
Major thanks to Volvo Cars of Cville - particularly Joe Lombardo, Daniel Lombardo, and Todd Cadle - for treating my family LIKE family. Always helpful, always attentive. Best customer service EVER.
