Conveniently located, friendly, helpful staff. The room is well cleaned/maintained, nice updated bathroom, bed is comfortable, linens are soft & plenty of pillows! Breakfast is the usual: scrambled eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, cereals and pastry... I'm not a breakfast person & I enjoyed what was available. Check online prices, they may be a little less. You can do that in the lobby, they'll help with that reservation!
It took over 20 minutes to check in. There were 2 people ahead of us in line and only 1 last working at the counter. The room was adequate and very clean. The free breakfast was good.
The location was great. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice. The complimentary breakfast was quite good.
Horrible experience. Hotel is old, smelly and the front desk staff messed up when I checked in by charging the credit card I used to reserve the room, not the one I provided at check in. Nor did they give me my discount for the room even though I did provide the proper identification for the discount. At check out when I pointed out both mistakes, after receiving my bill, they did switch the charges to the correct credit card but would not give me the discount because, I was told by a manager, that had to be done during check-in before it "posted" (but of course I did not have knowledge of their mistake until check-out, when I received the bill). Since I did not have time to pursue the issue, I left without receiving modified bill with the discount. This had NEVER happened before and I asked, if you can switch the charges to the correct credit card, why can't you provide the discount as well? I was told, by the manager, because the charges had already posted (yet, I did receive credit on the first card charged). So, incompetence at the max! DON'T STAY HERE!!! NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY BECAUSE HOTEL IS OLD AND IN NEED OF MAJOR RENOVATIONS AND STAFF ARE JUST TRYING TO GET THROUGH THEIR SHIFTS!!!!
Don't be fooled by the somewhat down-at-the-heels exterior (particularly if you have to use the door to the right of the main entrance to get to you room - the walkway and steps leading to that doorway are cracked, and the stairway you enter is entirely unprepossessing and smells like industrial cleaner). Once you get into the hallway where the rooms are, everything is lovely. The room was spotless, quite large, and very comfortable. The staff is very helpful, and even does just that one thing that's above and beyond to make the stay extra-nice. We would definitely stay here again.
