In need of some renovations, especially to include more elevators. Very friendly staff and clean. Right next to the downtown mall with lots of shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants. Would definitely visit again
I didn't spend much time in the facilities other than to and from my room, but the lobby is nice and the staff is attentive My room was about the size you'd expect for a normal hotel room, and the amenities were...also what you'd expect: coffee machine with a tea bag, a couple complimentary bottles of water. The hotel is in a fantastic area. Literally right by the mall, there are lots of great restaurants and places to relax and grab a drink; The Whiskey Jar is right by the hotel and has some fantastic drinks.
Was a very quick visit but very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and willing to help. Check in and check out was very fast and easy. Security was really good. Have to use room key to even get on the elevator. Will definitely book this hotel for my next visit.
I am a Charlottesville local and so I have never stayed at The Omni. However, this is the hotel of choice for many of my out of town colleagues when they visit, and as a result I have been to a number of meals and meetings at the hotel. Overall every experience I have had at The Omni has been very pleasant. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food has been very good when I've had it, and the surroundings are very nice. The only improvement I would suggest is that the decor seems somewhat outdated and it might be time for a renovation, although everything seems to be in very good repair.
I am originally from Charlottesville and chose this hotel when I came back for a visit with family. I will never stay here again. The rooms are super small and outdated, the shower floor was curved down and the tub didn’t drain and the noise level was ridiculous. We heard girls giggling all hours of the night and kids in the hallway running and slamming doors. The location is the only reason for the 1 star. And as for the friendly employees in other reviews....we didn’t encounter them. The front desk person was helpful one morning when I had a question but otherwise no one even said good morning, hello, or welcome back. I will not recommend this hotel to friends or family.
