Good service, but twice I have not received a cell phone call (as promised) when my car was ready.
I took my car in for an oil change & received excellent service. There was a nice waiting area with ample room & free coffee. One of the service men came in to warn me that he was going to start up a vehicle that didn't have a muffler so that I would not be startled by the noise. This was very respectful of him to warn me. I have never had anyone in other facilities to do this. They care about their customers.
I love this place! I will continue to go as long as they are open. The manager Chad is friendly and knowledgeable. Sarah is just as knowledgeable is great with explaining exactly what my car needs and how it works. They work efficiently and the prices are great. I love this place and the staff.
I came in for an oil change and a state inspection. When I came back to get my car, I was charged $90 for the oil change because apparently I have to have exclusively the highest grade oil in my beater car. I understand that this could be protocol, albeit bogus, but I only wish I had been told this before leaving my car. I was expecting a standard approximately $40 oil change and that's not what I was given and no one told me otherwise. They also found a whole pile of things wrong with my car during the inspection (coming to about $550 in work). I took my car with a failed inspection sticker and went to a different mechanic. The next mechanic passed my car and couldn't understand why Merchant's had failed it in the first place. I believe that Merchant's was actively trying to find things wrong with my car to make some money.
I feel that there service was not that great at all, I drove my car in to have it inspected. I knew it wasnt going to pass but needed a way to know what all needs to be fix. I was told what i had to get fixed in order for it to pass. I went to pick it up that monday and car was it bad condition. I've been driving this car for 5 year and never had a problem driving it. When i picked up the car put it in gear the car made this god awful noise, it felt like my engine fell out. I went back in to discuss the conditions of the vehicle turns out that one of them mechanics broke one of my motor mounts. He had call the mechanic himself while infont of me about that car and what was wrong. They offeres to have it towed for free no cost.They did not inform me that the car was not capable of driving it away.Therefore there was nothing holding my engine in place. THAT WAS THE ONLY MOTOR MOUNT THAT WAS HOLDING THE ENGINE IN PLACE. They refuse to take responsibility of the Damage Done to the vehicle and decided not to fix, the car will not go in drive, neutral or anything. It crazy that i drove my car to the shop come back and know its not driveable. But not only did not informs me after i tryed to drive it the only way to it the car from in the shop to outside in the parking lot they had to push it. Were was no drive no reverse no neutral no not nothing. There insurance refuse to take responsibility and said theres nothing they can do and sent me on my way. After taking to another mechanic to get him to fix what merchants has caused. Due to the last motor mount breaking and them trying to drive it and putting it in gear. With the engine jerking foward out of place cause a breakage in the transmission. And know its no long in use. Ive had 2 mechanics from a different shop take a look at the situation to the vehicle they have determined that the breaking of the motor mount and the jerking of the engine was the cause of the transmission going out. My insurance has been trying to reach there insurance company and they have refused so contact them back nor having anything to do with the damages. Not only has this happen to me but to others also. Leaving the customers without were vehicles nor transportation, and will not step up and take fault of the cause. Is upseting to have someone do work to your car and then not fix what they broke nor let you know. DID YOU THINK I WOULDN'T NOTICE THAT THE CAR COULDNT MOVE OR DRIVE? I will be taking matters into my own hand and will be looking foward to seeing them in court.
